I can't decide if I love it or hate it...

My aunt sent me an email with a link to this Youtube video. It is the Christians United for Israel's (CUFI) version of "Hava Nagila" - Texas style

Overall, I think I like it (in a sickly fascinated sort of way), but "Hava Nagila" is now stuck in my head.

I'm still short a plugin on my work PC to see the video, but hava Nagila is such an easy melody to get stuck in someone's head, I only have to think about it... Damn!

Oh my goodness.

That was dreadful.

Excuse me while I go wash out my mind with some The Swell Season.

Makes me think of Allan Sherman's "Harvey and Sheila" parody of this. (Don't know who he was? Essentially, he was the 60's version of "Weird Al").

TheHusband loves Allan Sherman, so I've been exposed. :-) My favorite Sherman song is "Al & Yetta".

Tom Leher's Hannukka in Santa Monica comes to mind.

Couldn't remember Harvey and Sheila by name.

You know, this song sounds GREAT on 15 mg of Valium.

Just sayin'...

Actually,I can live with the fact that I've never really liked "Hava Nagila"...I mean, that's all we've got? That lame friggin song?

But that bunch of people really give me the heebie-jeebies. And it doesn't matter what they're singing.

I continue to be in awe at TheHusband's most excellent taste.
