Cat Blogging Friday

Our cats have an obsession with the "boiler room" -- the room with the furnace and hot water heater. They always want to go in there. Any time of the day or night. Here you see Ajax trying to get in there.

I took pity on him and opened the door.

He was in there for about 5 minutes and then came out all pleased with himself.

For my cats it's the garage. If you climb on top of the car, see, you can get a view out the high garage-door windows. If the car is wet, you can then slide down the windshield leaving smeared kitty footprints all over. In winter the car hood might be warm for a sleeping spot. And all of the year you can sit under the car and be out of reach from the person trying to get you inside the house for the night.

Hmmm. Have you ever checked for any *off* smells? Cats are supposed to love natural gas; must be the only time cats make good canaries (g)! Having had the huge gas leak in Feb., it is, er, naturally on my mind...

There would've had to be a gas leak since 2001, when we got the cats... They just want to go in there because the door is shut all the time.

Glad to hear it! And, btw, our cats displayed precisely NO interest in our major gas leak. And for any reading - the gas did *not* smell like rotten eggs or sulphur. So check out all continuing odd smells...it just might be a natural gas leak.
