My brother left my house at 10:05 am (EDT) en route to Los Angeles, by way of the rest of the country.

Yup, He left Bethesda on a bright sunny morning with temps in the mid-50's. Said he was going to go through Rock Creek Park in DC and then cross into Va via the memorial bridge. He's aiming for Occoquan or Dale City Va for his first stop point this evening.
